Аннотация	The changes of the railway transportation policy of Iran are analysed in the article. The railway system’s modernization and expansion will strengthen Iran’s positions as a regional transit traffic center, which in its turn may support the country’s economic growth that is already on the way to restore on the back of easing the international sanctions on Iran. The author highlights the most important transporation projects announced by the country’s development plans and accounted for by the annual budgets.
