Аннотация	This article examines Russia’s larger interests in Northeast Asia, which are shaped by economic developments in the Russian Far East and the Siberia region which are intertwined with the Korean nuclear and missile program challenge. It scrutinizes recent developments in RussiaNorth Korea relations, focusing on Russia’s perception and its efforts in resolving the Korean nuclear program crisis. The paper emphasizes that Russian strategy towards the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the creation of NEA NWFZ are closely linked to the deployment of THAAD in South Korea. It also highlights the active role of Russia in the United Nations for the peaceful resolution of the Korea crisis and the implementation of sanctions against North Korea.
